What this blog isn't

It's not a Leeds-based exploration of the joys and challenges of shaping the mortar between house-bricks so that the rain runs off without undue damage.
Nor is it about looking at, achieving, or maintaining erections of the male variety. That's what the rest of the internet is for.
It's also not about drawing peoples' attention to the beauty of the Aurora Borealis by indicating it with an extended forefinger
It probably isn't SFW[Safe For Work] either (especially if you work in a church) thanks to the liberal sprinkling of profanities, heresies and blasphemies.

Merry/Happy (insert religious/commercial festival of your choice here) to all, and to all a good night

I'm taking a break (ahahahahahahahahaha...as if that's not what I've been doing all this time) and returning after the New Year with a minor site redesign, a resolution to get up orf my arse and actually DO stuff here more regularly, and The Killer Spoon To Beat All Killer Spoons. La Cuillère De La Mort Royale.

Ooooooh.

Oh, and I'm going to Hell. Literally, probably, when my liff is over, but also in this story arc - which is now less like trying to pass a bus tyre through a knotted urethra and more like trying to shit a breeze block past a handful of engorged haemorrhoids. I think that's an improvement. If not, you'll be able to hear the screams from nearby countries.

Be well. Have a good religious observance/buyfest. Don't do anything I wouldn't do. Don't do anything I would do either. Just don't do anything, okay?

Have a cool Christmas, buddy, and I hope next year involves less kidnappings for you.

Thanks, Pablo. For the Xmash wishes and for sticking with. Finally got into my own blog again. Mostly by remembering that I'd turned cookies off entirely in Firefox. I'm as thick as fuck. It's official. Now I can comment on comments again.

This isn't the first time I've been stumped by my own doofusness. I was stuck on Colossal Cave for six months in the 80's. Damn that snake/bird/cage combination. I only had three games at the time, and one of the others was a text adventure too. If the last one hadn't been Elite, I'd have given up on games entirely.

Merry everything to you and your beloveds. Spoon-based terrorfunlaffs in the New Year. :)

Really?
I do feel that you buggering off on 22/12/2008 without extracting yourself from the YMCA is a bit hard on those of us who wanted to know what happened, but I suppose it's the writer's prerogative.
Just promise to explain next year...

To Pam...

Thanks, and Merry everything to you and your fambly, from me and my fambly. Have a very, very good one.

and to Chenier...

I'd like to say that it was the taschetastic image you posted that scared me off, but in truth I have never finished anything that I've ever started in my entire chuff. That's why blogging and parenthood are so great, they're evolving tasks with no real concrete, defined goal.

Based on this inability of mine to finish anything, I fully expect to live forever - death being the natural conclusion to life and all - but the main reason I didn't continue was that my story was about to mesh with everyone else's and I would have had to put words into the mouths of innocent Anorakians at that point, and direct their actions.

To me that's closely akin to fantasising about an ex while pleasuring oneself. It's just not something I'm comfortable doing. Call me oversensitive. Call me weedy. Call me Ishmael, Al, or a taxi to Whitechapel. I don't mind.

I've always considered myself to be the brash, foul-mouthed brother-in-law that everyone just about puts up with over at Anorak. I know there's worse folks commenting on there, but we can't judge ourselves by those who are worse than us. That'd be too easy. I'll judge myself by my betters there, fail in a spectacular fashion, and still somehow manage to call that a partial success instead. I'll post a quick explanation for my hasty withdrawal on 'Traipsing the Turrets' though.

Merry everything to you and yours, Chenier.
